👋 Hey,

I honestly didn’t expect this.

Last round I shot 91, which for me was already a big step.

This round…

👉 85

Still trying to figure out how 😅

🎥Feature Video: I shot 85… Something finally clicked 👀

As a high handicapper, you don’t suddenly become consistent overnight.

Bad shots are still there.

But this round showed me something important:

👉 You don’t need perfect golf
👉 You need fewer bad decisions
👉 And a putter that behaves for once 😄

Progress isn’t clean… but it is happening.

What Actually Helped

🏌 Score: 85
📉 Handicap: 21

Scorecard

My Takeaways

🎯 Simpler decisions
Stopped forcing things, played what I had

🧠 Less swing thoughts
No mid round fixing, just commit and go

🎯 Putting finally showed up
HackMotion + practice starting to click

(If you do end up trying it, “rookieswing” works at checkout)

🪵 New irons (Takomo 201 MKII)
Only my 2nd round… still learning them

🍀 A bit of luck
Let’s be honest… you need it

What Still Needs Work

Club selection at times
Reading greens
Getting too aggressive in spots

Still very much a work in progress.

Focus for Next Round

🎯 Dial in distances with the new irons
🎯 Keep working on putting tempo
🎯 Smarter decisions over “hero shots”

I use Arccos to track every shot and see where I’m really losing strokes. Right now they’re giving away 16 free Smart Sensors plus a free swing lesson when you join. Check it out here!
