👋 Hey,
Last time out, I shot 90, which felt pretty normal for me. Round 50 was the halfway point of the whole challenge, so honestly, I just wanted to get round, enjoy it, and tick off the milestone.

Then I went and shot the best round of my life. 👇

🎥Feature Video: Can I Miss This Many Putts and Still Break 100?
The first time I ever played golf I shot 142. Round 1 was a 108. Round 50 was an 82.

It wasn't a new swing or some magic fix. It came from doing the boring stuff a bit better.
Fewer blow-up holes. One bad shot stopped turning into three.
The short game quietly carried me, just two three-putts all day and a birdie on 15.
Out in 40, home in 42. Nothing flashy, just steady.
Still in a bit of shock if I'm honest. No idea if I'll ever do it again.

My Takeaways
✅ What Worked

Best putting day of the challenge
I gained over 5 strokes on the greens compared to a 20 handicap, with 7 one-putts and only 2 three-putts. Easily my best with the putter all year. The score came from pars, not heroics
10 pars on the card, which for me is huge. The whole round was about keeping the big numbers off it, just 2 doubles all day.Approaches actually showed up
Especially from the fairway. I was leaving myself around 116 yards in and giving myself real chances.Long putting is coming along
Gained over 2.5 strokes from 10 to 25 feet. The distance control on the longer ones is getting there.
🚧 What Needs Work
Penalties off the tee
Driving was the only part in the red, and it was penalties that did it. 10 of 14 fairways is fine, I just need to cut out the one that costs me a shot.Hitting more greens
Only 7 greens out of 18. The short game bailed me out this time, but I can't rely on that every round.Longer approaches
That 150 to 200 yard range is still leaking strokes. The next gap to close.

⛳ My Next Steps to Breaking 100 Consistently
🎯 Focus for Next Round
Tighten up the driving, mostly just cutting out the penalties off the tee.
Keep working the longer approaches, 150 to 200 yards.
Hit more greens. The short game saved me this time, but I can't rely on that every round.
