👋 Hey,

Almost 50 rounds in… and it’s obvious.

My short game is the problem.

I went too far down the rabbit hole on putting mats, reviews, YouTube, Reddit, and more, and it wasted months with no action.

Quick note before I get into it:
I’m not sponsored by, or affiliated with, any of the brands below.

This is just me trying to figure out what actually works.

Here’s what stood out, but I need your help deciding which one to use. 👇

🏆 The “Best” Putting Mats in 2026 🏆

🏆 PrimePutt

“Best overall, most realistic”

This is the one everyone agrees on.

Every review basically says the same thing, this feels like a real green.

My only hesitation… it’s expensive. Like $600+ expensive time I get it shipped here.

So the question for me is, is realism actually what I need right now, or just more reps?

🎯 Perfect Practice

“Best for reps”

Ball return, alignment lines, smaller hole.

This feels like the easiest one to just grind with.

I can see myself hitting 100 putts a day without thinking.

But… it’s basically carpet.

So does that actually transfer to the course?

🧠 PuttOUT AirBreak

“Most interesting”

This one’s different.

You can actually create slope and break.

And if I’m honest, most of my missed putts aren’t straight anyway.

So part of me thinks this might be the most “real golf” practice. They also launched a Max version, but it's not yet available here.

📊 Wellputt

“Most structured”

This feels more like a system than a mat.

Drills, speed control, training plans.

Probably the smartest option…

But also feels like something I might not stick to if it’s too structured.

🤔 BirdieBall

“The wildcard”

Some people swear by it.

Others say durability is an issue.

Feels like a bit of a hit or miss. I think I read they have a new outdoor version, similar to high-quality PrimePutt material vs a more foam-like mat.

💭 So Where I’m Stuck

I keep going back to this:

Do I need…

  • Something that feels real

  • Something I’ll actually use every day

  • Or something that trains real situations

Because they’re not the same thing.

If you’ve used any of these, or something better, just hit reply and tell me:

What actually helped your putting improve?

I read every message, and I’ll base my final decision on this.

No hype, just what works.
