👋 Hey,

Last round I shot 85, the best score of my life.

So obviously, golf decided I needed bringing back down to earth.

Round 47 is now live, and it was a proper reminder that progress in golf is not a straight line.

🎥Feature Video: Can I Miss This Many Putts and Still Break 100?

In this one:

• I followed my best ever round with a much messier one
• The lip out king made a painful return
• My putting stroke looked different on camera
• I started spotting a tempo issue
• HackMotion gave me something new to work on
• And I remembered that one good round doesn’t mean you’ve suddenly solved golf

📊 Round Stats Breakdown

🏌 Score: 97
📉 Handicap: 21

My Takeaways

What Worked

  • Still found a few pars
Even in a messy round, there were some decent recoveries.

  • ChipR wins again
Simple shots around the green saved me a few times.

  • As tough as it is watching back - the video footage helps
Watching it back showed my putting stroke looked shorter and quicker than usual.

🚧 What Needs Work

  • Putting tempo
Too many lip outs, poor pace control, and a rushed stroke.

  • Bad shot recovery
I thought I moved on well, but the footage says otherwise.

  • Seven wood tops
A couple early on made the round harder than it needed to be.

Scorecard

I use Arccos to track every shot and see where I’m really losing strokes. Right now they’re giving away 16 free Smart Sensors plus a free swing lesson when you join. Check it out here!

🎯 Focus for Next Round

  • Smoother putting tempo

  • Hold the finish

  • Keep chips simple

  • Let bad shots go quicker

👀 Needing Help with my 100 Round Challange:

I’m nearly halfway through the 100 Round Challenge, and I’m trying to figure out what the next 50 rounds should look like.

I could set normal goals like strokes gained, Tiger 5, XX handicap, or breaking XX more often.

But I’m not sure I want it to be just about score.

I’d love some kind of side quest.

Something fun. Something useful. Something that makes the next 50 rounds more interesting to follow.

If you were in my shoes, what would you try?

Catch you next round,
